– TWEAKING YOUR DIET FOR WEIGHT LOSS – . Day 2: Food Swaps . Food swaps are super common as an effective weight loss strategy when you want to lose weight without overhauling your entire diet. . I want to note that you dont HAVE to swap food to lose weight – Id advocate only swapping the things that wont make you feel like youre sacrificing everything you love. Full fat/calorie foods can absolutely work in your diet if weight loss is your goal. Portion control is key in this instance. BUT if you dont mind swaps this is a GREAT tool to use. . Here are some of my favorite food swaps w/ their saved calories for comparison: – Peanut Butter – PB2 – Cheese – Velveeta slices laughing cow wedges or Trader Joes Lite Mozzarella – Bagels – Bagel Thins – Bread – Healthy Life Bread – Cream & Sugar – Skinny Syrup & Sugar Free Creamer – Pasta – Zucchini Noodles – Salad Wraps – Ole Extreme Wellness Wraps – Chips – Pop Corners – Ice Cream – Halo Top/Enlightened – Sour Cream – Non-Fat Greek Yogurt . I want to disclose that I absolutely DO NOT advocate that you swap everything in your diet. This can create an unhealthy relationship with food. These are just a few examples on ways you can reduce your caloric intake without sacrificing everything you love. I realize that the anti-diet movement right now is very much against a lot of these swaps but I believe that life is about BALANCE. If swapping a few food items in your day without sacrificing a ton allows you to lose weight (if thats your goal) I see nothing wrong with it.
